This afternoon’s meeting at Wetherby goes ahead after the track passed an inspection.

Officials had initially called a 7.45am check but they took an earlier look after a dry night.

Chief executive James Sanderson said: “We have had a dry night so we brought the inspection forward and we are going ahead.”

Conditions at the track are testing though, with the ground officially described as heavy.
