Dime on course for return

Pass Me A Dime will bid to regain the winning thread in the next couple of weeks after recovering from a crashing fall at Ascot last time.

The Colin Tizzard-trained gelding was seeking a four-timer at the Berkshire venue, having made a successful reappearance at Exeter in November.

He got no further than the first fence there, however, and despite emerging a little bruised, he is now back in top trim.

Tizzard said: "He's fine now but he was a bit sore for a couple of days afterwards.

"He didn't jump very well first time out even though he still won so we sent him away to be schooled. He jumped a lot of rails and he went so fast at that first fence that it backfired on us really.

"He's back cantering now though and we'll find another race somewhere in the next fortnight or so for him.

"He's rated 127 so we're a bit limited as to where we can go but he's fine at the moment."
