Flow could make a comeback
Strong Flow, winner of the 2003 Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup, could make a surprise return to training.
A knee injury appeared to have ended the nine-year-old’s old career but owner Barry Marshall reports Strong Flow to be back in roadwork and is considering returning him to training.
“He’s now at the second stage of roadwork and my vet is very pleased with him,” Marshall told the Racing Post.
“We’ll just see what happens over the next couple of weeks, then do more tests before making a decision as to whether we bring him back to racing. We’ll do what’s best for Strong Flow.”
Marshall has the option of sending Strong Flow to Dessie Hughes in Ireland or campaigning him in point-to-points in Britain.
