Hughes in the hunt

Schindlers Hunt looked a youngster to follow when announcing his arrival on the scene with a taking victory in the Durkan New Homes Novice Chase at Leopardstown.

It proved an eventful renewal of the two-mile-one-furlong Grade One event, as the highly-regarded Glenfinn Captain (11-4 favourite) took a crashing fall at the fourth-last fence when still travelling strongly at the head of affairs.
