Sedgefield are optimistic about the prospects of tomorrow’s meeting going ahead after conditions improved at the track overnight.

Clerk of the course Charlie Moore called a 7.30am inspection due to frost in the ground but he now reports the track to be raceable.

“The frost is now out of the ground and the course is raceable,” he said.

“The inspection we have planned for tomorrow is now a precautionary inspection just in case temperatures drop a bit lower than forecast.

“We are forecast to go to zero or minus one and we will have a look just in case, but I would say we’re 80-20 to go ahead now.”
