Tom Greenway has been given a clean bill of health despite suffering concussion at Sedgefield on Tuesday.

Greenway was taken to North Tees Hospital for precautionary X-rays after falling from the Richard Ford-trained Mags Two in the Newcastle Breweries Classified Hurdle.

The 23-year-old rider was soon released from hospital, however, and is already looking forward to returning to action.

“I’m fine – probably just nothing more than bruised pride,” said Greenway, who has ridden six winners this year.

“I was discharged from hospital later than day and taken home by one of the girls from the yard.

“I’ll take today and probably tomorrow off and then resume yard duties.

“I’m down to be riding at Musselburgh on Sunday but that’s going to be tight because I’m not sure I’ll be passed fit by the Jockey Club to ride by then.”
