Solzen to have break

My Way De Solzen is to have a break following his run behind Fair Along at Sandown on Saturday.

After making a successful chasing debut over two miles at Lingfield recently, last season’s Ladbrokes World Hurdle winner failed to follow up.

He found the concession of 9lb to Philip Hobbs’ charge too much, going down by 10 lengths in the Sodexho Prestige Henry VIII Novices’ Chase.

“He’s fine, but he’ll have a little break now as he’s had two fairly quick runs,” said trainer Alan King.

“I don’t imagine you’ll see him until the new year. I’ve got nothing specific for him. I’ll have to have a look and see what there is.

“I want to give him a couple of easy weeks and then regroup.

“I’ll try to find something for him over two miles. If not not we’ll have to go two and a half. I’ll have to see what’s about.”
