No prep run for Camillo

Sander Camillo is likely to go for the Stan James 1000 Guineas at Newmarket without the benefit of a prep run.

Sir Robert Ogden’s filly, trained by Jeremy Noseda, has not raced since her five-length romp in the Cherry Hinton Stakes in July and missed several autumn engagements because of soft ground.

“She’s with Jeremy Noseda as she never left the yard. She’s had a bit of a winter break but she’s started to canter again and is in very good form.

“I think she’ll probably go straight to the 1000 Guineas without a run,” the owner’s racing manager Barry Simpson told At The Races.

Sander Camillo is 5-1 second favourite with the sponsors for the fillies’ Classic at Headquarters on May 6.
