Ace makes debut for Seemar

Ex-Aidan O’Brien runner Ace makes his debut for new connections in tomorrow’s National Day Cup at Abu Dhabi.

The five-year-old finished second in the Breeders’ Cup Turf for O’Brien last year but is now with Satish Seemar after being purchased by Mohi Binhendi.

Ace will be partnered by Willie Supple while stable companions National Captain and Lundy’s Lane will be ridden by Ted Durcan and Daragh O’Donohoe respectively.

Both Erwan Charpy and champion trainer Doug Watson saddle three in the race with Harb (Pat Dobbs) looking the best of the Watson trio.

Tadhg O’Shea has elected to ride Mutafanen of the Charpy runners with Royston Ffrench getting a good spare ride on stablemate Hurricane James.

King Jock will be the first international runner of the season as he lines up for Irish trainer Robbie Osborne and rider Pat Shanahan.
