Hennessy Gold Cup winner State Of Play has been handed top weight of 11st 12lb in the Coral Welsh National at Chepstow on December 27.

Evan Williams has stated that it us unlikely the six-year-old will be asked to tackle three-mile-and-five-furlong marathon though, as he hopes his charge will develop into a Cheltenham Gold Cup contender.
