Rasen to have second inspection

Market Rasen will hold a second inspection at 7.30am tomorrow ahead of their afternoon meeting.

Officials at the track took an initial look this morning but with a dry day forecast, they are keen to give the meeting every chance.

Clerk of the course Nick Patton said: “We are calling another inspection for 7.30am tomorrow.

“It is still heavy and waterlogged in places on the home straight, it hasn’t improved a great deal and we wouldn’t be raceable today.

“However, we are forecast a drying day today so we will give it another 24 hours.”
