Lingfield abandoned before last race due to bomb scare
Lingfield’s last race was abandoned after a bomb scare prompted an evacuation of the track.
Hot on the heels of what proved to be a hoax at Hexham on Wednesday, officials at the Surrey venue sprang into action after the feature iBetX.com Churchill Stakes.
Everyone on course was instructed to clear the stands and head to the middle of the track while the threat was investigated.
