Tora handed Exeter mission
Brendan Powell's promising four-year-old Tora Bora will bid to continue his rise through the ranks as he goes in search of a hat-trick at Exeter on Friday.
The David Johnson-owned gelding has made a bright start to his chasing career by recording two authoritative victories at Uttoxeter and Market Rasen this season.
He showed a willing attitude to score at the latter at the beginning of the month and has pleased his handler since.
"He'll run in the novices' handicap chase at Exeter on Friday," Powell said.
"Everything's gone well and he's come out of the race well. The handicapper has put him up 6lb but he seems in good form.
"He's quite a laid-back little horse and he just does enough every time and he gets all the allowances in these races at the moment so we've got to make the most of them really.
"I think he'll improve again when he steps up to three miles as he seems to stay very well.
"He's very genuine and he jumps well so we'll just keep our fingers crossed."
