Our Armageddon on easy list

Our Armageddon is unlikely to be seen in racecourse action this season but connections are hopeful he will return to the fray at some point in the future.

The Richard Guest-trained nine-year-old has not been seen since landing the Singer & Friedlander at Uttoxeter back in February.

He had been ante-post favourite for the Racing Post Plate at the Cheltenham Festival the following month but was forced to miss the contest after meeting with a setback in the run-up to the race.

Connections have stressed that he will now be given plenty of time to make a full recovery before being asked to race again.

"We are taking things quietly with him and I don't think he will be back this season," admitted owner Leslie Garrett.

"But he is still a young horse and there is plenty of time for him."

Our Armageddon won six races in the 2003/04 National Hunt season, where success in the Cathcart at Cheltenham provided the undoubted highlight.
