Name joins Godolphin team

Best Name, runner-up in the French Derby, has been purchased by Godolphin and will winter in Dubai.

The King’s Best colt was last seen when finishing fifth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe for trainer Robert Collet and owner Paul Vidal.

Simon Crisford, racing manager for Godolphin, told the Racing Post: “I can confirm that Best Name has joined Godolphin and he will winter in Dubai.

“It hasn’t been decided if he will race here yet, but either way he will be back in Europe next year.”
