Steve Donohoe is set for a working trip to America after clinching the apprentice riders’ championship with a win at Musselburgh.

Donohoe began the day three winners ahead of Adam Kirby and he increased the margin to four when the Dominic ffrench Davis-trained Show Trial obliged in the totecourse to course EBF Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
