Godolphin expect to be represented by two horses at next month’s showpiece Breeders’ Cup meeting at Churchill Downs on November 4, with both Librettist and Echo Of Light taking their chance in the Mile event.

The former was last seen finishing sixth in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot, while the enigmatic Echo Of Light grabbed Group Two glory at Longchamp on Arc weekend.

“Librettist came back well from the Ascot race. He worked today over five furlongs and moved like a dream,” said trainer Saeed Bin Suroor yesterday as he outlined foreign running plans for a number of horses.

“Discreet Cat will miss the Breeders’ Cup and head for the Cigar Mile on November 25.

“He’s unbeaten but was skinny while he was in Dubai. He’s come back a different horse since winning in America last time.

“Ashkal Way is to run in a Grade One race on turf at Hollywood Park the previous day and he is also in great form.”
