Nigel Twiston-Davies reports Fundamentalist to be on course to make his seasonal reappearance at Cheltenham next month.

The Naunton trainer is eyeing the Jersey Graduation Chase over an extended two miles, three and a half furlongs at his local track on Sunday, November 12.

“He’ll run probably at the Open meeting at Cheltenham. There’s a race for horses that have not won more than twice over fences. I’ll probably look at that,” he told At The Races.

“He’s in really good form and schooled this morning. I think he’s back on track again.”

The eight-year-old, winner of the Royal & SunAlliance Novices’ Hurdle at the 2004 Cheltenham Festival, failed to reproduce his best form in four races last season after 12 months off with a tendon injury.
