Sudoor set for Hill challenge
John Dunlop’s promising juvenile Sudoor is on course for Saturday’s Group Two Keepmoat May Hill Stakes at York.
The Fantastic Light filly won a Newbury maiden at the end of June before travelling smoothly to score a one-length victory over Precocious Star in a Listed event at Sandown a month later.
Angus Gold, racing manager to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, has confirmed she will be heading to York.
Gold said: “She looked a decent filly at Sandown and she’s given us all the right impressions so far. This will be another step up for her though so we will see how she gets on.”
Possible opponents in the mile contest could include Sweet Solera winner English Ballet, Jeremy Noseda’s Simply Perfect and the Mick Channon-trained pair of Sweet Lilly and the once-raced Alovera.
