Race Stars at Gowran

Race For The Stars landed her first win of the season when lifting the Group Three Denny Cordell European Breeders Fund Fillies Stakes at Gowran Park.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained filly had not won since taking a Listed race at Newmarket last October but she bounced back to her best to notch a stylish win.

Kieren Fallon produced the 5-4 favourite with around a furlong still to run and once she hit the front, Fallon only had to keep Race For The Stars up to her work to see off Blessyourpinksox with Ardbrae Lady back in third.

British raider Poetical, trained by Declan Daly, was prominent early on before fading out of it in the straight.
