Pam Sly’s 1000 Guineas heroine Speciosa will return to action for an autumn campaign, with York’s GNER Park Stakes the probable first port of call.

The Group Two seven-furlong contest was won by Iffraaj last season and is likely to provide the Danehill Dancer filly with a starting point before she returns to Group One company.

“We will run her at York in the Group Two GNER Park Stakes on September 9, while we have just made an entry for the Sun Chariot Stakes on September 30 at Newmarket,” Sly told the Racing Post.

“The Champion Stakes on October 14 is also a possibility, although she might not run in all three.”

Speciosa was last seen finishing ninth in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, having previously filled fourth spot behind Alexandrova in the Oaks.
