Electrocutionist has been confirmed as an intended runner in this afternoon’s showpiece event, the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes, after a late scare.

The five-year-old reportedly pulled out of his box stiff this morning and his participation had been in some doubt.

However, the horse was sent to the track as normal and trainer Saeed bin Suroor was able to issue a cautious go-ahead.

“He will take his place in the race but Frankie (Dettori) will see how is on the way to the start and we will also send our vt down to the stalls to check him over,” he said.
