Aidan O’Brien’s Ace heads a 19-strong entry for the Ladbrokes.com International Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday, where he may be joined by stablemates Hurricane Cat, Major Commitment and Marcus Andronicus.

If participating, Ace will be making his first start over a mile since finishing fifth behind Rakti in the 2004 renewal of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

The home defence will be strengthened further should Kevin Prendergast’s progressive Mustameet and Noel Meade’s Arch Rebel renew rivalry after the pair finished first and second in a recent course and distance Listed contest.

Nayyir, Notability and Stronghold stand out among the six British entries, along with Barry Hills’ Killybegs, who has not been seen since finishing down the field in the 2000 Guineas.

Ardbrae Lady, Common World, Golden Arrow, Hard Rock City, Kings Point, Latino Magic, Modeeroch, Ugo Fire and David Barron’s Zero Tolerance complete the entry list at the five-day stage.
