Coral extend Eclipse sponsorship
Coral bookmakers are to extend their long-running sponsorship of the Coral-Eclipse Stakes up to 2012.
The five-year deal, worth a total of £2.4million in total prize money, will extend Coral’s association with the Group One contest to 36 years.
Coral first sponsored the race in 1976 and this year’s renewal is the richest ever with prize money worth £459,000.
“Everyone at Coral is extremely proud of our long and historic relationship with the Eclipse Stakes and this five-year deal demonstrates our commitment to take this prestigious race to even greater heights”, said Coral managing director Wilf Walsh.
