Four added to Irish Derby field
Four horses have been supplemented for Sunday’s Budweiser Irish Derby at the Curragh.
The addition of Cougar Bay, Dragon Dancer along with French and German Derby heroes Darsi and Gentlewave has left a list of 16 contenders engaged at the five-day stage.
Aidan O’Brien is responsible for five entries headed by Vodafone Derby third Dylan Thomas, who finished a head behind Dragon Dancer at Epsom.
He may be joined by stablemates Grafton Street, Mountain, Puerto Rico and Road To Mandalay, while Sir Michael Stoute could be represented by Best Alibi and Royal Ascot winner Papal Bull.
The other possibles are Best Name, Classic Punch, Heliostatic, Land Before Time and Monsieur Henri.
