Murtagh shines on Tadh
An Tadh benefited from a fine front-running ride by Johnny Murtagh to claim the Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown this evening.
But British raider Misu Bond, the 8-11 favourite, was a major disappointment and had to settle for a well-beaten third having been under pressure turning for home in the seven-furlong Group Three contest.
Lord Admiral finished well from the rear under Fran Berry but was never going to catch the 6-1 winner, who had one and a half lengths in hand at the line.
Kieren Fallon’s mount Tiger Dance – a full-brother to Giant’s Causeway – was last of the four runners.
