Dane O’Neill has lodged an appeal against a seven-day ban that would rule him out of the first three days of Royal Ascot.

O’Neill was suspended from June 16-22 inclusive for careless riding on the unplaced Brief History in the Independentage Live Nation (UK) Maiden Stakes at Windsor on Monday.

Jamie Spencer is also appealing against a two-day ban for careless riding.

He was handed the punishment by the Ripon stewards after partnering Moon On A Spoon to victory in the Weatherbys Bank Handicap at Ripon on Tuesday.
