Easy for Bahama Mama

Bahama Mama was sent off the red-hot 1-6 favourite for the opening Blue Chip Original EBF Novice Median Auction Stakes at Brighton and duly obliged with the minimum of fuss.

The Lucayan Stud-owned filly led from the stalls and was never headed to record a three-and-a-half-length win over Pires.

Shane Kelly was on board and although he shook up the daughter of Invincible Spirit in the straight he was always calling the tune.

Debbie Kaye, travelling head lass for winning trainer Jeremy Noseda, said: ā€œShe didn’t really handle the track but from the three-furlong marker she was readily clear.ā€

Bahama Mama was following up her maiden win at Newmarket last month and this could not be considered much more than an exercise gallop, which will have primed her for possible future victories.
