Silent Witness will not be making the trip from Hong Kong to Royal Ascot next month.

Trainer Tony Cruz has informed Weatherbys that the seven-year-old will not run in the Golden Jubilee Stakes on June 24 in the British leg of the Global Sprint Challenge.

The announcement follows the gelding’s disappointing performance in the Champions Mile at Sha Tin earlier this month when he was only ninth behind his stable companion Bullish Luck.

Silent Witness had been short headed by the same horse in the race 12 months ago to end a 100 per cent record of 17 victories.
