Kinane booked for Blini ride

Mick Kinane will renew his association with Group One Cheveley Park Stakes winner Donna Blini in Sunday’s Stan James 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

The 13-time Irish champion jockey partnered the filly in her final two starts of last season which also saw her capture the Group Two Cherry Hinton Stakes at Flat racing’s headquarters.

And trainer Brian Meehan expressed his delight that Kinane will again be on board.

“Mick Kinane will ride my filly in the Guineas and I’m delighted as he knows her so well,” Meehan told The Racing Post.

“She has come through in her coat, has worked well in her preparation and everything is good with her.”

Donna Blini is currently a 16-1 chance with William Hill for Sunday’s race.
