Liberty seeks out win

Liberty Seeker gave jockey Robert Winston his 40th winner of the year when landing the "Tuesday 9th May Is Ladies Night" Handicap.

The Alan Swinbank-trained seven-year old was always travelling well and went clear inside the final two furlongs to record a four-length victory from favourite Pee Jay’s Dream.

Assistant trainer Bill Haigh said of the 8-1 winner: “Everything went right for him and he was given a lovely ride.

“He’s won over both hurdles and fences and the faster the ground gets the better he will be.”
