Sue Smith has yet to decide whether to send Ross Comm on a retrieval mission in Monday’s Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

The 10-year-old came down at the fourth fence in the John Smith’s Grand National at Aintree last Saturday but is reported to be none the worse for that spill.

Smith said: “He’s all right – not a mark on him at all.

“I don’t know whether he will run, I have to speak to (owner) Mr Treanor but he is on his way back to America at the moment.

“I will have to wait until I have spoken to him but the horse is OK.”

Ross Comm is one of three entries for Smith in the three-mile-five-furlong contest but Royal Emperor and Truckers Tavern are described as “probably unlikely” runners.
