Foreman wins Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree
Foreman, trained by Thierry Doumen and ridden by Tony McCoy, has won the John Smith's Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree.
Foreman (4-1) reversed Cheltenham form with Voy Por Ustedes to land the Grade One race.
Thierry Doumen’s charge finished third to the latter in the Arkle, but turned the tables to hand out a one-length beating to the 10-11 favourite.
Le Volfoni took third for Paul Nicholls, but Arkle faller Accordion Etoile again made a mistake at a crucial stage and lost all chance of getting involved in the thrilling battle between Foreman and Voy Por Ustedes up the run-in.
