My Way De Solzen, winner of the Ladbrokes World Hurdle, could step back in trip for next week’s Scottish and Newcastle Aintree Hurdle.

The six-year-old beat Golden Cross by a head in the three-mile event at the Cheltenham Festival and trainer Alan King is now considering dropping back in distance rather than tackling the John Smith’s Liverpool Hurdle.

“There are two options for him next week – the three-mile hurdle on Thursday or the two-mile-four on Saturday and I certainly would not be frightened to drop him back,” King told the Racing Post.

“He scooted round the bends when he won at Fontwell and has the gears to match his stamina.”
