Electrocutionist showed a telling turn of foot and a determined attitude to land the Dubai World Cup at Nad Al Sheba.

The Godolphin runner was slowly away under Frankie Dettori but he blazed down the straight to beat American raider Brass Hat in a thrilling finish to the 10-furlong contest.

Jeremy Noseda’s runner Wilko put in an admirable performance to finish third.
