Jackpot set to break million mark
The totejackpot will break the £1m (€1.46m) mark at Hereford on Monday following another difficult day for punters.
A victory in the last race at Fontwell for horse number 13 Geography made it an unlucky day for the 10 remaining tickets – especially the one ticket-holder who had backed runner-up Hill Forts Henry.
Totepool spokesman Paul Petrie said: “It was certainly unlucky 13 for totejackpot players today at Fontwell.
“We are looking at a pool close to one and a half million tomorrow at Hereford.”
However, tomorrow’s pool will still have a long way to go before it reaches the record of £2,050,652 which was recorded in March 1995.
