Ruby Walsh completed a 55-1 double on Dun Doire to lift the William Hill Trophy Handicap Chase.

Only fifth jumping the final fence, Dun Doire (7-1) stormed up the hill to outstay Nicky Henderson’s duo of Juveigneur and Irish Hussar, winning by two lengths and a length and a quarter.

Irish Hussar was always prominent, making much of the running with Bob The Builder before going on four out.

It looked as though Marcus Foley’s brave move was going to pay dividends but he was swamped first by his stablemate Juveigneur and then by the eventual winner, trained in Ireland by Tony Martin, at the last gasp.

The field had to bypass the second-last fence as paramedics were attending Andrew Thornton who had taken a nasty tumble from A Glass In Thyne on the first circuit.
