The Sadler’s Wells gelding was never an intended runner for trainer Arnaud Chaille-Chaille, with Wednesday’s Royal & SunAlliance Novices’ Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs the real target.

Herve Barjot, racing manager to owner Sean Mulryan, said: “It was a mistake by France-Galop which was quickly recognised.

“The horse is fine and runs on Wednesday which has always been the plan.”
