Sedgefield call inspection
Tomorrow’s National Hunt meeting at Sedgefield is subject to a 3.30pm inspection this afternoon.
The going at the County Durham track is currently heavy, soft in places with some snow lying and pockets of frost.
Acting clerk of the course Charlie Moore said: “There is snow in certain areas and it has drifted in places to give us about three inches.
“Where there is no snow the frost has got into the ground but if we get the conditions to get rid of the snow we should be fine as the frost isn’t a problem.
“Temperatures are due to rise and there is a band of moisture coming through and if that is rain we shouldn’t have a problem.”
