Flood warned off for two years

Former trainer David Flood has been warned off for two years by a Jockey Club disciplinary panel.

Flood’s former assistant Hugh Taylor has also been suspended for nine months.

The pair faced a variety of charges as a consequence of Mossman Gorge being withdrawn by the stewards from the New Vauxhall Zafira Handicap at Newmarket last July.

A veterinary technician reported the gelding had been injected with a prohibited substance containing phenylbutazone and oxyphenbutazone, commonly known as bute.
