Fontwell call inspection

Fontwell have called an inspection for 8am after heavy rain left the track waterlogged in places.

Clerk of the course Geoff Stickels is hoping for a dry night at the West Sussex venue to give the meeting a chance of going ahead.

“We have had 14 millimetres of rain up until 3.30pm and it is still raining now,” he said.

“We are heavy, waterlogged in places but it could come dry tonight and if it does, the track should improve as it drains quite easily.

“If it were to carry on raining though, we would have a problem.”
