Kieren Fallon has had his bail extended until July as City Of London police continue their investigation into alleged race-fixing.

The six-times champion jockey was due to answer bail next month along with weighing room colleagues Robert Winston, Fergal Lynch, Darren Williams and Paul Bradley.

Trainers Alan Berry and Karl Burke were also due to reappear but they will not have to answer bail until later in the year.

A statement from City Of London police said: “As a result of a detailed late representation to the Crown Prosecution Service on the part of the defence in relation to this investigation, it has been decided, in the interests of all parties concerned, that full consideration should be given to the issues that have been raised.

“Therefore, bail dates in relation to all 27 people currently on bail have been postponed to July 3, 2006.”
