Herecomestanley kept his cool to open his account in good style in the Entertain Clients At Warwick Racecourse Classified Hurdle.

Milton Harris’ charge has not proved the easiest horse to handle at home and at one stage ran amok at Mollington point-to-point, demolishing a few picnic tables as he went off course, taking a fence and a hedge with him.

However, the 12-1 shot showed his mettle when taking up the running at the final flight as leader Mistified made a costly error and Herescomestanley kept on well to win by two lengths.

Harris said: “It’s not that he has any mental problems, he just tends to panic.

“He does have loads of ability but we never run him on grass at home and we put cotton wool in his ears to keep out the noise.”
