Fontwell to inspect

Tomorrow’s six-race card at Fontwell is subject to an 8am precautionary inspection.

Temperatures at the Sussex course could fall below freezing overnight but clerk of the course Geoff Stickels is optimistic the meeting will survive.

“We could fall to between zero and minus two so are going to have a precautionary look,” he confirmed.

“We could have raced today without any problem and are optimistic.”
