Catterick given the all-clear

This afternoon’s meeting at Catterick has passed an early-morning inspection and will go ahead as scheduled.

Overnight temperatures did not fall below zero degrees, enabling officials at the North Yorkshire track to give the meeting, which begins at 1pm, the all-clear.

“It is about plus-four degrees at the moment and thankfully the expected frost did not arrive,” said a Catterick spokesman.

“There are no problems for racing this afternoon.”

The going for the seven-race card is currently good, good to firm in places.
