Sedgefield take later look

Sedgefield will now hold an inspection at 9am ahead of this afternoon’s meeting.

Officials had initially planned to take a look an hour earlier but they have pushed back the inspection to give racing every chance of going ahead.

Sedgefield’s Charlie Moore explained: “We got down to minus three and there is some frost in the ground.

“We are hovering just below minus one at the moment but we are cautiously optimistic provided we get the forecast rise in temperatures.”
