Haydock expecting testing conditions

Conditions are likely to be testing for the Peter Marsh Chase meeting at Haydock on Saturday.

The going is described as heavy at the Merseyside track but the fixture is not in doubt.

“We’re going to be heavy,” said clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright.

“The forecast is mild with occasional showers which will not amount to much.

“We have had rain today and there are little bits of showers about but it’s extremely mild.

“The meeting is not in doubt, but it will be heavy.

“It’s not going to be colder yet – it’s next week when there’s going to be fun and games with the weather.”
