Wetherby goes ahead

Racing at Wetherby this afternoon goes ahead after the track passed an inspection.

The going was later changed to heavy.

A course official said: “We have been given the green light and racing goes ahead. We have registered less than two millimetres of rain and the heavy rain that was forecast hasn’t hit us so we can get on with the job.”
