Demon misses Ludlow event

Racing Demon was declared a non-runner in the Concha Y Toro Wines Novices’ Chase at Ludlow after trainer Henrietta Knight expressed concerns over ground conditions at the Shropshire venue.

The ante-post favourite for the Arkle Trophy had been due to face nine rivals in the two-and-a-half-mile contest.

Jockey Timmy Murphy had earlier been passed fit to partner the exciting six-year-old, who is unbeaten in two starts over fences.
