Green light for Newcastle racing

This afternoon’s meeting at Newcastle has been given the go-ahead after the track passed an early-morning inspection.

Although overnight temperatures dipped to about minus-one degrees, Gosforth Park was perfectly raceable this morning, allowing clerk of the course James Armstrong to move forward his precautionary 8am inspection.
